I regularly visit residents at Doddington Lodge in my professional capacity as Senior Charge Nurse for the Older Adults Community Mental Heath Team in Ludlow.

During my visits to the home I have repeatedly found the staff to be informative in relation to the older people they are caring for.

The atmosphere within the home appears to be consistently positive and denotes caring and thoughtful attitudes amongst the staff.

The advice and support I have offered the home has been accepted enthusiastically, with the staff appearing very keen to work with professionals in providing the maximum level of care to their residents.

The residents and their relatives, with whom I am in contact with, have given positive feedback to me about Doddington Lodge and their care provision.

I have had specific feedback from clients regarding the positive impact the homes activities Co coordinator has on Everyday life. I have seen a particular clients mental health and overall wellbeing improved significantly by the level of stimulation provided from the activities within the home. These can be one to one, group activity, outings or general entertainment.

As a community mental health team, we feel that we have developed good working relationships with Doddington Lodge.

The management appear to encourage such effective communication with professionals called in to assist within the home, which can only benefit the older people in residence there.
